Ajabu Wild is a Kenya-based off-the-beaten-path safari specialist. We curate and facilitate once-in-a-lifetime wild camping trips, boutique wilderness stays and cultural journeys into the wildest, most beautiful corners of the country, far from the crowds, but close to the people who call these wild places home.
At the heart of what we do is connecting people to the wild: wild camping under vast skies, stays at unique boutique properties, and encountering the vibrant cultures of the Samburu, Maasai, Pokot, Turkana and other pastoralist communities who call these wild places home. While we curate and facilitate trips throughout Kenya, we specialize in northern Kenya, which is Kenya at its most wild, rugged and untouched.

Kenya is alive with the traditions of pastoralist communities such as the Samburu, Turkana, Borana, and Pokot. Especially in Kenya's North Rift, due to decades of relative isolation caused by internal conflicts and limited outside investment, cultures have remained largely unchanged, making it appear that time has moved much slower in this part of the world.

We have a special place in our heart for northern Kenya. We are actively working with local communities to help open this region to tourism. Our first-hand knowledge and local network let us create journeys into rarely visited parts of Kenya, where time has slowed down, traditional cultures remain intact, and nature is at its most wild and pristine.
Wild Camping Specialist
Wild camping is something we're especially passionate about and where our experience sets us apart. We have done over 80 camping trips to campsites in the complete wilderness across Kenya, and we have always felt that this is amongst the very best ways to experience Kenya. For this reason, in partnership with local communities, we have co-created campsites and immersive tourism experiences in dozens of places across the northern Kenya in areas where previously there were only very limited tourism infrastructures, and we are partnering with dozens of more established campsites throughout the country. What all of these campsites have in common, is that they are completely in the wild, and 100% self sufficient.
